Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients
- 80g cocoa powder, sifted
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 250g butter, melted & divided into half
- 120ml boiling water
- 450g organic coconut sugar
- 4 large egg
- 65g plain flour
- 50g chopped nuts(optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 200g dark chocolate chips (70% cocoa)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
- Stir together the cocoa powder and baking soda in a big bowl.
- Stir in the melted half butter until smooth and stir in the boiling water until the mixture is smooth and thick.
- Stir in the sugar and eggs with the remaining melted butter.
- Stir in the remaining flour, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt and nuts (optional) into the chocolate mixture.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes.
